Pastel 8 3/4" x 17 3/4."  Signed lower right.  Represented in over thirty five public and university art museums in the U.S. Sam(Samir) Barber was born in Europe in 1943 and at the age of 10 emigrated to the U.S., and New York City became his new home. Sam Barber's childhood was filled with a consuming desire to become a famous artist and capture on canvas the "joie de vivre" of life with vivid color, light and imagination. Barber was influenced by Claude Monet and Degas. Sam Barber paints on Cape Cod , Nantucket and in Europe. Sam Barber's long list of awards is very impressive. .Exhibited at the National Academy; Doll & Richards, Boston; F.A.R. Gallery, N.Y.; Pastel Society Show, N.Y.C.; Provincetown Art Assoc.; Heritage Plantation, Sandwich, Mass. and numerous other art venues. Barber is a member of the Society of American Impressionists.  Represented by the Wally Findlay Galleries, NY
